WE RISE, a large-scale pop-up art exhibition, cultural convening, and community organizing event, will open in Downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, May 19 and will run through Monday, May 28th in honor of Mental Health Month which occurs nationally each May. WE RISE is free and open to the public.
Over the course of the 10-day festival, the event will feature over 150+ artists presenting original pieces of art, over 50-hours of creative programming and workshops with some of the biggest names in pop culture, activism and art along with other performances and panels
Participating artists and activists include: Common, Yara Shahidi, Jesse Williams, Kobe Bryant, YG, Madame Gandhi, Yance Ford, Dolvett Quince, MuMu Fresh, Syncopated Ladies, Raja Kumari, Kehlani, Nick Cannon, Jabbawockeez, Metta World Peace, Cheryl Dunn, Cyrcle, El Mac, Erin Riley, Ernesto Yerena, Estevan Oriol, Favianna Rodriguez, Glenn Kaino, Jessi Jumanji, Jess X Snow, Mel Kadel, Patrick Martinez, Sage Vaughn, Shepard Fairey, Swoon and many more.
