Photography Exhibition Guided Tour & Mural Viewing

TRHT-LA is excited to partner with UNITED AMERICAN INDIAN INVOLVEMENT (UAII) on a guided tour of never before exhibited vernacular photography, including Polaroids and snapshots, that weave together the lives and critical events of UAII’s earliest beginnings on Winston Street near Skid Row. This historic and noteworthy photo exhibition will be presented in the exact same space where the photographs were taken over 40 years ago, sharing a story of hope, community, and resilience of America’s first and often forgotten people.

In addition to a guided tour of the exhibition, we will have an opportunity to view murals created in recent years at the former UAII Winston St. location. Muralists Votan and CC will be on site to talk about the process and inspiration behind their murals.

There are only 25 spaces available for this guided tour.

We look forward to seeing you on May 19th!
