Over the past several years, the Federal government has worked with local communities across the country on a range of initiatives to support innovation and opportunity, with several focused in Los Angeles. Through three fellows serving during the Obama Administration at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), the Goldhirsh Foundation has invested in developing a national agenda to support inclusive entrepreneurship, diversity in the technology sector, and helping to place innovation at the center of the federal government’s work. This work has resulted in immigration reform for high-growth entrepreneurs and inclusion of a measure in the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act to support equity crowdfunding.
Join us in conversation with the most recent fellow to discuss opportunities for Los Angeles to continue to lead in diversifying and building the innovation sector. The event will feature Jennifer Erickson, former Assistant Director for Innovation for Growth at OSTP.
With guidance from Jennifer, we look forward to an exciting conversation about ways to tap into an LA-focused network committed to sustaining and growing innovation initiatives locally. To attend or for more information, please contact angie@goldhirshfoundation.org.
