Trevor Daley

If you’re having a party or you want to put your house on the market, you might sweep the stoop, paint the front door and go buy some flowers: a  couple of hours, a few hundred bucks.  But if you’re LAX, you might do a bit more.  Perhaps you would overhaul all nine of your Terminals, one by one, and then build a new satellite terminal to boot.  Maybe you’d move the second largest airline in the world from one side of your Airport to the other, all in the space of two weekends.  You’d probably also want to improve your runways too.  And since that isn’t enough, you’d probably spend five and a half billion dollars to build a completely new – and completely multi-modal – facility just off-site from your existing airport, serviced by a 2 and a half mile people mover train. LAX is building all these projects while continuing to bring 75 million passengers through its facility every year.

ULI is pleased to welcome Trevor Daley, the Deputy Executive Director and Chief of External Affairs for Los Angeles World Airports for a Meet and Greet program. Mr. Daley will bring us up to date on the Airport’s expansion plans. In particular, he will provide a thorough overview of the current status of the most ambitious part of LAX’s plans, the Landside Access Modernization Plan. This includes the consolidated car rental facility, off-site parking facilities, and the people mover: a complete effort to sharply reduce the number of vehicles in the Airport itself so that LAX can focus on what really matters; getting passengers in and out of the Airport more efficiently.  Following his remarks, Mr. Daley will answer questions from our guests.
