Yes, we’re returning to the Broad Stage in Santa Monica for the 2017 Design Awards Ceremony and Celebration and what we’re affectionately terming in-house as “the blow-out year.”

We’ll honor the AIA|LA Design Award recipients and presidential honorees, then celebrate with them and Los Angeles’ architectural community at an après-event party and dinner. 

Expect to hear Unfrozen Music, as performed by a stellar group of musicians who are architects, join friends for snaps in photo booths with to-die-for-environments (and immediate photo print outs), visit a bar that will be off-the Richter this year and… enjoy other new surprises special to 2017.

As is tradition, the festivities begin with a reception that rejoins old friends and serves as an icebreaker -- introducing new ones.  A ceremony to announce the 2017 AIA|LA Design Award recipients (for built projects), recipients of Next LA awards (work not yet built), and COTE LA awards follows. 

Presidential Honorees, as awarded by AIA|LA President of the Board of Directors, Douglas Teiger, FAIA, and the AIA|LA Board of Directors, are celebrated.  Après-ceremony, the festivities continue with a dinner + a party + assorted revelry. Expect an open bar and divine edibles. Reception begins at 6PM, Ceremony at 7PM, Party, to follow.
