Tribal leaders and researchers have mapped the ancient "lost suburbs" of Los Angeles - Los Angeles Times

Many ancient routes converged in communities such as Yaangna (now Downtown Los Angeles). They connected the region to Arizona, New Mexico, Sonora and Chihuaha.
